I am 64 years of age. I underwent total knee replacement surgery to my right knee in January 2015. Mr. Trikha fully explained what was going to be done, the risks and benefits and warned it would be painful. I was very focused on my recovery did the exercises proscribed and attended the gym three/four times per week. Within 2 weeks I was off crutches and by 3 months I was walking and training normally. By 2018 my left knee required total replacement surgery. I had the surgery on 6th March again performed by Mr. Trikha. I was walking unaided and driving in 2 weeks. I remain focussed on my recovery. I attend the gym three/four times per week. I have achieved total flexibility in both knees. The recipe for success is simply (i) Mr Trikha is a great surgeon; (ii) listen to and execute the medical advice given; and (iii) remain focused and dedicated to a full recovery via the gym and exercise.

I was referred to Mr. Trikha about 8mths ago when both of my knees became so painful that I could barely walk up or down a flight of stairs. I was advised by others that my condition was fairly final and that surgery was the probable option. 8mths with Mr. Trikha and I am now more or less cured! No surgery and no injections! I am currently training to run 5k and today I did the bleep fitness test to level 6 with no pain. If you have knee problems then I strongly advise that you see Mr Trikha.

I went to see Paul Trikha with pain in my knee and lower leg. I have severe osteoarthritis in my knee due to an injury and subsequent operation 37 years ago, followed by numerous arthroscopys and an osteotomy 15 years ago. I thought that the plate a screws were causing the problem and that I would needed them removing. After taking x rays Paul Trikha explained the options of having the hardware removed separately, or at the same time as a total knee replacement, which was advised, but was also told the decision was totally up to me. The other options offered to me were pain management, physio and possibly a coitisone injection. I am now on a low dose anti inflammatory, had numerous sessions at activ8 rehab and am walking so much easier and am able to postpone my knee replacement for another few years. I really felt that Paul understood my concerns over having a major knee operation and was happy to give other options available, which have really helped.

I went to see Mr Trikha at St.Peters hospital today, and just couldn’t believe what a fantastic man, and how he really cared. He gave me suggestions on what would help my knee problem which for me seemed to take too long so I said but I need to get back to walking my dog, and just general things that needs doing. His next comment was well I will give you an injection, I said when will that be. Today, and to my astonishment I had it done there and then. Came out of hospital with hardly any pain, considering for the last 6 weeks could hardly walk far. Thank you kind man for caring and understanding how I needed to get back walking
